History

Established in 1989 on Lambton Quay, Central City Physiotherapy Clinic has provided quality physiotherapy to the Wellington CBD for over 25 years. With quality at its core the practice provides professional sports level advice and treatment to the Wellington public and sports associations alike.

Paul Butler – Principal Physiotherapist

Paul Butler

A Wellingtonian, Paul’s career has spanned the globe. From the American and Australian swim teams, professional rugby league to Olympic GB track athletes. He is now excited to be involved with elite athletes throughout NZ.

Jennifer Brennan – Senior Physiotherapist

Jen Brennon

Jennifer Brennan is our fantastic senior physiotherapist with nearly thirty years experience working in London and New Zealand private practice. She has a special interest in the kinetic chain and how everything connects especially posture and how this influences your sport, running and workouts. She has a postgraduate diploma in manual therapy and manipulation along with training in Mulligan, McKenzie and dry needling techniques.

Sam – Physiotherapist
BSc in Physiology and Physiotherapy

Sam likes the outdoors and enjoys a range of sports and recreational activities outside of work. He prides himself on helping others by providing education, information, and teaching them useful practical skills to enhance their physical well being.

Tessa McPherson – Physiotherapist

Tessa completed her Physiotherapy degree with distinction in 2017 from the University of Otago. She has previously completed a degree in Health Science majoring in Sport and Exercise from Massey University in 2014. Tessa has also worked throughout her studies as a Pilates instructor since 2011. Tessa is passionate about sports Physiotherapy, working with Western Suburbs Football Club’s men’s first team squad.

Ed Hughes – Reception

Recent University of Auckland graduate Ed at the front desk. He is always keen to help, spin a yarn or have a laugh. This year, he is saving for postgraduate study, and doing some writing on the side

Facilities

We have a welcoming reception and well appointed treatment rooms in an earthquake strengthened building.
